The 4th

Remember those who gave their lives
Independence Day Celebration
Happy Birthday America!! We're closed on the 4th but party with us on Saturday the 5th. We'll have Paula Balish, DJ from NCX playing tunes from noon to 4 pm. The grill will be going from 11 to 3 pm.
The Parts and MotorClothes department are having their 100th Anniversary products marked down 20 %. Also look for many summer merchandise to be marked down.
We're often asked if our service department operates at a loss. Our answer is no. Okay, some months we don't make a profit but we do make enough to pay our techs, stock the necessary parts and accessories, pay our insurance and buy the necessary equipment to service what we sell.

That being said, we believe our service department is the backbone of our business. Without it we wouldn't have nearly as many loyal and repeat customers. The fact is that no motorcycle, no matter the brand, is completely maintenance-free. Every motorcycle needs service from time to time. Like anything else that rides the road, parts wear out. The most obvious are tires and batteries. However, oil and other lubricants lose their effectiveness over time.

Using low-quality or inconsistent-quality gasoline can cause problems such as carbon and sludge buildup. Bikes left idle for extended periods of time can develop problems caused by moisture that collects inside the engine as the oil drains down and the gasoline becomes contaminated. The result is the need for oil changes, air and oil filter replacement and careful inspection to see that other components of the engine and suspension are functioning within specifications.

To do the job right the first time often requires special tools and electronic test equipment, both of which can be expensive. We know that and budget accordingly. We also send our techs back to Milwaukee for specialized training. That training creates problems for us too. First, we have to pay for the tech to get to and from Milwaukee, pay his hotel and meals expenses, and pay the course fees. These add up to hundreds of dollars per day. At the same time, the tech continues to be paid by us. Add to that the need to pay someone else to do the job in his absence.

Once you consider all this, it might be easier for you to understand that what sets us apart from the others is our commitment to give you the best possible service done by the best-trained technicians using the latest and best tools and equipment. Frankly, that's the only way we can successfully compete with the mass merchandisers who sell product but would rather you take it to someone else for service.
